It’s amazing what we’ll put ourselves through to send a climb:

Repeated efforts and failures. Sweat. Pump. Abrasions. Tweaked shoulders and tweaked backs. Numb fingers, wrists, and toes. Bad elbows. Lost sleep. Lack of focus. An easily wandering mind.
To say nothing of the small nicks and dings we endure.
