“The Great American Afterlife” – Story Named As Finalist For the 2012 Fiction Open

My agent and I just received word that my short story “The Great American Afterlife” earned honorable mention as a finalist for the Glimmertrain 2012 Fiction Open Prize.  The story didn’t win, but I’m happy it was a finalist among the thousands, and I know how hard it is to win quality writing competitions.

Also this is the same story that the band Mankind is producing as a story album to release this fall. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to work with their talented musicians on the project.

  1. Jay, thanks for asking, but it’s not online right now. My agent submitted it to editors, so I can’t post it on the web. The story album is coming out soon though (“The Great American Afterlife”).
